☆♪ Review Breakerz - Promo WISH02 in Budokan this February 9 ☆♪

When i decided to take on this task, and write this post about promoting Brz new upcoming DVD I tough to myself... What would be my favourite Brz song? As I still don't know the answer to this question I still decided to write about those two songs that I particularly love… Why did I chose them, because now, at this point in time, they were the ones that inspired me the most and those I wanted to share my toughts on...

So the first one is a beautiful song written by Daigo lyrics and music titled Re:born

☆♪ Re:born ☆♪

I love waltz, I always did love them…
Waltz are cute and usually convey happy feelings or toughts because they are light and their pace is not too mellow. It is nice to see how Daigo took advantage of the contrast between the serious message he wanted to convey first to himself then to the world but in this cute/childish way. This song shows a cute relation father/son with God (Kamisama). I love the way he is openly challenging God like a child with his own dad ^^ It also reminds me of myself, the way I act with God when I am mad at something or frustrated with my life in general… It shows the spiritual side of Daigo, a side we don't see very often especially lately… It reminds me of who Daigo really is, and the depth of his feelings and toughts. *o* It also shows the uncool side of him, not only his idol image but through this song, he shares with us part of his human self, his fundamental values. We can peek at his sensitivity, and see a being filled with weaknesses, doubts but also with his views sets on higher goals that he wants to attain with an attitude of determination, courage and hope.

☆♪ Re:born ☆♪ (excerpt taken from live in Budokan WISH01 DVD)

Musically, First the intro with the acoustic guitar, with naked vocals. Love the simplicity of the intro. The vocal melody is cute and light contrasting with the serious tone of the message. I love the way they used both acoustic and electric guitars in the arrangements. The use of ascending scales as small little instrumental intermedes in between verses are really well placed and bring dynamic elements that raise the tension in the music keeping our interest always higher. The refrain is catchy and decorated with back vocals that gives the listener an original and useful freshness, a spring-like scent. The guitar pattern shifts suddenly after the first refrain bringing us to new shores in an arpeggio form… The following bridge is short but perfect right bringing us elegantly toward the guitar solo. I am totally in love with the 2 intertwined melodies in the guitar solo.

So basically, these are some of the many reasons why i love this song in a special way and enjoy listening to it on a daily base, it really isn't one of their most popular one, but if my review of it makes you listen back to it even only one time with a new eye, it will make me happy ne. There is much more to Brz and their music than the eye can see… ^^

About the second one, my second song... it remains a secret for now, and I promise that I'll write about it in another linked post, later this week…
